Practice through Spanish Immersion
At =elemadrid= we are particularly proud of our Practice through Immersion Spanish immersion program, which offers activities both in and outside the Spanish language school that will expose you to Spanish in a real-life context while instructing you about the culture.
We offer the following practice Spanish immersion sessions with weekly changing contents on a wide variety of themes:

Spain Today—Conferences about Spain: we attend lectures on themes such as Gypsies in Spain, the Basque Country, Spanish theatre, flamenco. |

Discover Madrid—Field activities in Madrid: teachers lead students on excursions in the city to visit museums, tapas bars, important institutions, etc. |
| Wednesday |
Spanish Profiles—Interviews with Spanish personalities and Madrileños: invited guests such as TV producers, bullfighters, or even a taxi driver come to our Spanish language school to answer your questions. |
| Thursday |
Media Session—Didactic movie or TV sessions: we watch carefully selected programs and films to familiarize you with the Spanish media. |
| Friday |
Bon appétit—Lunch with teachers: tables are reserved for casual conversation and great food in a nearby restaurant. Spanish only!!! |

Professional colleague meeting service: want to talk shop in Spanish? We can put you in touch with a Spaniard in your professional field for conversation about your industry.
Hobby courses: we offer a variety of hobby courses with Spanish immersion, including cooking, wine tasting, art & painting, pottery, dancing, and fashion.

Day excursions: plenty of beautiful or historically important sites are near Madrid. We offer day excursions to these places. Your chance to visit Aranjuez, Cuenca, Segovia...
Flamenco dance course: Patricia, a regular guest speaker on the topic of flamenco at our Spanish language school in Madrid is also an expert dancer, so we contracted her to offer students the possibility of taking a two-hour course on this quintessential Spanish art form.
Cooking with Concha: a former restaurant owner and well-known cook in Madrid opens her kitchen once a week to students from our Spanish language school. Learn Spain's cooking as you practice the Spanish language. Sangria, tortilla, paella...
